There was a very brisk (15 plus knots) start to the year for the Commissioning Race. A few boats were launched including two Yawls -Geoff and Chris in Y170 and me in Y74 with Anthony Lofts – a beautiful blue sky Salcombe day. I know it’s early but I heard lots of positive talk at the Yacht Club bar “I will get my Yawl out in about two weeks” or “my boat will be ready as soon as the varnish is dry”. So lets hope we will see a few more out very soon.
