DESCRIPTION:Campaign to Win\, the inside guide to success in Salcombe.  \nOlly Turner will lead the weekend\, supported by other members of the Yawl Fleet:  \n  \nThis year the focus is on creating a “Campaign to Win” linking strategy\, tactics with boat tuning & set up  \n\nEvent to be held Friday 11th\, Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th April 2025.\nBook your entry using SYC’s website\,  The entry fee is £21 PER PERSON this includes Entry and Saturday Evening meal at SYC \, of which £5 goes towards running SYC rescue boats etc.\nEnsure your boat is ready and ideally sailed with same crew prior to the weekend so you can concentrate on racing not fixing your boat !\nEnsure you have warm clothing\, drink & food\, its early season so can be cold!\nImportant: book Sunday lunch on SYC website.\n\n  \nFriday meet at 7pm SYC Chart room ( bring a pad & pencil ) we will be covering: \no  Strategic advance at the start & first beat \no  Downwind tactics \n\nBoat speed: set up and general handling\, crew position ( understanding drag).  This will be supported by photos & video clips.\nNote: if you are planning to eat at club\, suggest we aim to eat around 6pm so the chartroom can be free of food !\n\nSaturday: On the water for 9.30am SYC start line: \no  Series of mini sprint races\, with tips and advice being given from coaches in Ribs \no  Tacking on the whistle to sharpen boat handling \no  Technique on 720s \no  Lunch ( in your boat or ashore\, bring your own food / drink) \no  Afternoon club racing : Important ensure you have your tracker on as there will be a de-brief in the evening. \n  \nSaturday: Evening:  \no  Late afternoon\, Tea and cakes available at the bar \no  6.30pm Meet at the Chartroom\, running through highlights of the days racing\, some footage and use of tracker data. \no  7.30pm meal ( ensure you have booked). \n  \nSunday: On the water 9.30am SYC start line:  \no  Series of mini sprint races\, with tips and advice being given from coaches in Ribs \no  Final race of the weekend. \n  \nSunday: Lunch:  \no  1 O’clock SYC Chartroom debrief over lunch (ensure you have booked your pasties etc).
